PMDC (Pakistan Mineral Development corporation Pvt. Ltd. )Salt Mines are located in the heart of Kalabagh City, District Mianwali, Punjab, Pakistan. Kalabagh city is surrounded with Indus river (South) and red salt hills (North) on its boundaries. The scientific mining starts at these red hills dates back to British rule. PMDC works under administrative control of “Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources, Government of Pakistan”.
PMDC is sole salt mine owner of the Kalabagh area. We have various mines at Wandakukran-Walla, Kalabagh and Mari Indus. Rock salt extracted from mines are directly sold into trucks with distinction of its use.
The rock salt extracted from our mines are largely used as manufacturing of Rock Salt Lamps, Natural Lamps, Tea Lights, Crafted Lamps, Salt Soaps of various shapes at various places in the country.
