CUTTER PLANT:
We are operating the Salt Cutter plant over which finest quality PGES Rock Salt is crafted into Natural Rock Salt Lamps. The raw PGES Rock Salt is manually Chiseled, and hammered into rounded cone shaped structure. These are cut along their broader end through this cutter plant which forms a base for these lamps. These are sale out in this semi finished forms and their customers further process these lamps over their bases to drill holes for installation of electrical accessories and wooden bases according to their client needs.

We deal in the mining of World finest Quality Rock Salt from Historical Kalabagh Salt Mines and supply it through our various sale agents across the globe.
We have two operating Leases over which there are three distinct mining sites. These include Drifts namely No. 12, 13 & 14 with some old quarries and new mines which are located right behind the Kalabagh city area. The second one is Main Mine situated near Wandha Kukranwalla village across Indus River having series of mines with entrances No. 20, 21, 27, 18, 6, 10 & 2. The last site is a separate mining lease and is along old city of Mari Indus having a Mari Tunnel with lot of Mari mines.
Rock salt extracted from all of these mines with Classical Mining method known as “Room & Pillar”. Gun Powder is used to charge the shot holes which are drilled through hand operated rotary drill machines. The blasting of these shot holes resulted in production of rock salt. The blasted salt is hand sorted into three categories as PGES (Piece Grade Edible salt), ROM (Run of Mine) and Khallar Salts. The PGES quality is widely used for salt crafts like salt lamps etc. The left over salt becomes falls in ROM category which is used in grinding plants, Dieing, Tannery, Power Plants, Soda Ash Plants, Ice Creams, Medicines and lot of Industries.
The Khallar Salt is red Marl having low NaCl contents which occurs as impurity across salt layers inside salt deposit. It is used in Tannery, Animal Diets and Ice Cream industries.

PMDC (Pakistan Mineral Development corporation Pvt. Ltd. )Salt Mines are located in the heart of Kalabagh City, District Mianwali, Punjab, Pakistan. Kalabagh city is surrounded with Indus river (South) and red salt hills (North) on its boundaries. The scientific mining starts at these red hills dates back to British rule. PMDC works under administrative control of “Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources, Government of Pakistan”.
PMDC is sole salt mine owner of the Kalabagh area. We have various mines at Wandakukran-Walla, Kalabagh and Mari Indus. Rock salt extracted from mines are directly sold into trucks with distinction of its use.
